NOTE: While editing content on the ADMIN site, http://tamu.sitefpo.com/admin, it is recommended text be entered directly into the content fields. We do not recommend using a shortcut such as cut/paste from another source, but if necessary, Notepad would help to alleviate any style compatibility issues found with MS-Word and other similar word processor products.

Edit Mobile App Settings

  1. Login and click on ADMIN,
  2. Click on SETTINGS, TAMU MOBILE APP SETTINGS.
  3. To edit the HOME page image or banner at the bottom go to the HOME tab and upload a new image in either field.
  4. To edit the text at the top of the GRAPE SEARCH page, click the GRAPE PROBLEMS tab. Put new text in the CONTENT field. If you want to change the ad banner, you can upload a new file for the Search, Results and Detailed Results pages.
  5. To edit the text at the top of the PESTICIDE SEARCH page, click the GRAPE PESTICIDE tab. Put new text in the CONTENT field. If you want to change the ad banner, you can upload a new file for the Search, Results and Detailed Results pages.
  6. To edit the text at the top of the SAVED SEARCHES page, click the SAVED SEARCHES tab. Put new text in the CONTENT field. If you want to change the ad banner, you can upload a new file at the bottom of the tab.
  7. To edit the text on the Prvacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, About Us or Advertisers pages, select the appropriate tab. Put new text in the CONTENT field. If you want to change the ad banner, you can upload a new file at the bottom of the applicable tab.
  8. Use the SYSTEM SETTINGS tab to set the CANCELLED PERIOD in days for cancelled pesticides that you want to display and to set the text before you display the Registered Pesticides and to specify the text to show above the Registered Pesticides on the Grape Problems details page. For example: [Problem Name] has [XX] products registered for grapes. More Results
  9. Click OK to save changes.

Add, Edit or Delete Additional Resources Listings

  1. Login and click on ADMIN,
  2. Click on Manage Add-ons, TAMU - MOBILE APP, TAMU ADDITIONAL RESOURCES.
  3. To add Additional Resources, click ADD.
  4. To delete Additional Resources, select the checkbox next to the resource and click DELETE. To Edit a term, click the paper/pencil icon next to the resource name.
  5. Add or edit the Resource Name, Description, URL and Alpha Sort Order.
  6. Click OK to save changes.

Add, Edit or Delete Additional Resources for Specific States

  1. To set up specific resources for the user's location, click Manage Add-ons, TAMU - MOBILE APP, TAMU EXTENSION AGENCYADDITIONAL RESOURCES.
  2. To add Additional Resources, click ADD.
  3. To delete Additional Resources, select the checkbox next to the resource and click DELETE. To Edit a term, click the paper/pencil icon next to the resource name.
  4. Currently there are state-specific records for the TAMU Extension Agency, Pesticide Registrations and Pesticide Regulatory Agencies.
  5. To set up new ones, click ADD and enter in the NAME field Location Agency Type. (Agency Type would be Pesticide Registrations, for example).
  6. Check the box where you want the local agency to show up in the fields: showInAdditionalResourcePage, showInGrapeProblems and showInPesticideDetails.
  7. Click the EXTERNAL LINK tab.
    1. Click Link to cDef to enable display of local agency.
    2. Click is DropDownList to enable users to select a different state than the one they are in.
    3. Type in Drop Down Title Select State Agency Type (for example, Select State Pesticide Registration).
    4. In Word to Replace field, type Location (the word you entered in the NAME field).
    5. In the Link to Cdef field, you will select the table that contains state specific information for this resource.

NOTE: The following tables currently exist on the TAMU application:

  1. To provide resources for the user's specific state, click Manage Add-ons, TAMU - MOBILE APP, TAMU EXTENSION AGENCY. Click ADD to add a new agency or click the paper/pencil icon next to the state to edit the record. Enter the STATE abbreviation in the STATE field, full state name in the STATE NAME field, and the URL for the state agency website in the URL field. Click OK to save changes.
  2. To provide pesticide registrations for a particular state, click Manage Add-ons, TAMU - MOBILE APP, TAMU PESTICIDE REGISTRATIONS. Click ADD to add a new agency or click the paper/pencil icon next to the state to edit the record. Enter the STATE abbreviation in the STATE field, full state name in the STATE NAME field, and the URL for the state agency website in the URL field. Click OK to save changes.
  3. To provide the pesticide regulatory agency for a particular state, click Manage Add-ons, TAMU - MOBILE APP, TAMU PESTICIDE REGULATORY AGENCY. Click ADD to add a new agency or click the paper/pencil icon next to the state to edit the record. Enter the STATE abbreviation in the STATE field, full state name in the STATE NAME field, and the URL for the state agency website in the URL field. Click OK to save changes.

Add, Edit or Delete Grape Problem Terms

1. Login and click on ADMIN.
2. Click on Manage Add-ons, TAMU GRAPE PROBLEM SEARCH, TAMU GRAPE PROBLEM TERMS.
3. To add a new term, click ADD.
4. To delete a term click the checkbox next to the term and then click DELETE at the top of the page. To edit a term click the paper/pencil icon next to the term.
5. Enter or edit the problem NAME DESCRIPTION, CATEGORY ID (from the TAMU GRAPE PROBLEM CATEGORY table) or IMAGE FILE on the DETAILS tab.
6. In the PESTICIDE SEARCH tab, select PESTICIDE PRODDUCTS from the PESTICIDE SEARCH TYPE field and enter the pesticide search keywords, separated by a comma for all applicable pesticides.

A. If you select PESTS from the PESTICIDE SEARCH TYPE field, make sure you enter an exact match from the EPA CORE PESTS table (which is located in Manage Add-ons, TAMU GRAPE PESTICIDE SEARCH, EPA CORE PESTS).
B. If you select PESTICIDE PRODUCTS from the PESTICIDE SEARCH TYPE field, make sure you enter an exact match from the EPA PESTICIDE PRODUCTS table (which is located in Manage Add-ons, TAMU GRAPE PESTICIDE SEARCH, EPA PESTICIDE PRODUCTS).
C. Make sure you click the field "Show Registered Pesticides" so that the pesticides will show on the grape problems detail page.

7. If the grape problem is a weed, you will use the HERBICIDE INFORMATION tab instead of the PESTICIDE PRODUCTS tab. In this tab, click the box next to "Show Pre Emergent Information" and Choose Pests or Pesticide Types from the drop down list.

Also enter the title you want to show before the list, such as Preemergence Herbicides.
A. If you select PESTS from the PESTICIDE SEARCH TYPE field, make sure you enter an exact match from the EPA CORE PESTS table (which is located in Manage Add-ons, TAMU GRAPE PESTICIDE SEARCH, EPA CORE PESTS).
B. If you select PESTICIDE PRODUCTS from the PESTICIDE SEARCH TYPE field, make sure you enter an exact match from the EPA PESTICIDE PRODUCTS table (which is located in Manage Add-ons, TAMU GRAPE PESTICIDE SEARCH,
EPA PESTICIDE PRODUCTS).
C. Repeat these steps for the Post Emergent Information.

8. In the PROBLEM DESCRIPTION tab enter content for WHEN TO TAKE ACTION, CULTURAL CONTROL PRACTICES and REFERENCES.
9. Click OK to save changes.

NOTE: If you want to add a link to a document in the Grape Problems Terms Description fields, use a single quote ' in the HTML instead of a double quote ". See example below:

Add, Edit or Delete Grape Problem Category

  1. Login and click on ADMIN
  2. Click on Manage Add-ons, TAMU GRAPE PROBLEM SEARCH, TAMU GRAPE PROBLEM CATEGORY.
  3. Click ADD to add a new category or find the category you want to edit or delete.
  4. To delete a category click the checkbox next to the category name and then click DELETE at the top of the page. To edit a category click the paper/pencil icon next to the name.
  5. Enter or edit the CategoryID and Name.
  6. Click OK to save changes.

Set the Cancellation Period for Pesticides

Here you will define the time period to eliminate pesticides from the search based on how long since the pesticide has been cancelled.

  1. Login and click on ADMIN.
  2. Click MANAGE ADD-ONS, TAMU-MOBILE APP, TAMU MOBILE APP SETTINGS.
  3. Click on the SYSTEM SETTINGS tab.
  4. In the field CANCELLED PERIOD, enter the number of days since a pesticide has been cancelled that you do not want to include in search results.
  5. Click OK to save changes.

Set Ads on the Pesticide Details Page

You can set up ads to show up for a specific company or for a specific pesticide product.

  1. Login and click on ADMIN.
A. To set ads to run for all of a specific company's products:
1. Click MANAGE ADD-ONS, TAMU-MOBILE APP, Pesticide Product Ads by Company.
2. Upload the ad image and provide a URL you want the ad to click to; to find the company number, go to MANAGE ADD-ONS, TAMU-GRAPE PESTICIDE SEARCH, EPA CORE COMPANIES. Get number from CompanyNumber field.
3. Click OK to save changes.
B. To set an ad to run for one specific pesticide product:
1. Click MANAGE ADD-ONS, TAMU-MOBILE APP, Pesticide Product Ads by Product.
2. Upload the ad image and provide a URL you want the ad to click to; to find the company number and product number, go to MANAGE ADD-ONS, TAMU-GRAPE PESTICIDE SEARCH, EPA PESTICIDE PRODUCTS. Get numbers from CompanyNumber and ProductNumber fields.
3. Click OK to save changes.

References

  1. Users who have saved searches will see a third button on the app landing page, “My Saved Searches”. Clicking on this button will take the user to the Saved Search page. This button only shows if there are saved searches for the user.
  2. The pesticide search results page will list the pesticide name and if it has been cancelled within the admin defined time period it will show the words “Cancelled”. If it has been cancelled outside the time period it doesn’t display. The results will list out 25 pesticides and continue to load if more.
