Steps to create a micosite

1) Create a template for the microsite.

a) Login and click Admin > Manage Design > click on Templates.

b) If you have a current template you want to copy, edit it and click Create Duplicate. Otherwise Add a new template record and cut-and-paste the template Html into the template body.

2) Create a new Landing Page

a) Login and click Admin > Manage Content > click on Pages.

b) Add a new record. Enter a page name for your landing page copy. If you are NOT adding a new domain name, be sure to add a Link Alias to the page in the Link Alias tab so it has a unique URL. Click OK.

3) Create a new Landing Section

a) Login and click Admin > Manage Content > click on Sections.

b) Add a new record. Enter a section name and on the features tab select your landing page as the root page, and your new template as the default template. Click OK.

4) If your site template includes a dynamic menu, create a new Dynamic Menu record

a) Login and click Admin > Manage Design > click on Menus.

b) Add a new record, enter a name and on the sections tab, check the box next to the new landing section.

5) Create a new domain for the microsite. If this microsite will just be a page on the current domain, skip this step.

a) Purchase the new domain at your registrar and setup the DNS to point to your server.

b) If you are on a shared server with Contensive, email support and tell them the new domain you want to add to your site.

c) Login and go to Admin > Settings > click on Domains. Add the new domain as "Normal" type. Select your new landing page and your new template.

6) Configure the template's dynamic menu.

a) Navigate to your new microsite with either the new domain name (www.newsite.com) or your domain with the new Link Alias (www.oldsite.com/Link-Alias).

b) Turn on advanced edit and click the wrench tool for the Dynamic menu. Select your new menu in the New Menu dropdown.

c) Turn off advanced Edit
